We can picture indie fashion girls like Erin Featherstone or the Coco Rosie sisters loving a place like this.

This has not become a food blog, I promise! But I’m so excited about my find yesterday! Coffee Union is an independent coffee shop offering real American donuts!! There are currently 13 different flavours, but there will be 20 by the end of the month, and everything is available for delivery. Homer Simpson would be proud.

After a few years of semi-pointless privation, I’ve recently started eating beef and pork again. Partly because I had no real reason not to eat them; it was getting annoying at dinner parties; and mostly, both were starting to look really, really tempting again! I’ve been eating them for over a month now, and I can’t tell you how much fun it’s been to have all these “firsts”! I had my first Croque Monsieur, which was actually a bunch of delicious mini Croque Monsieurs at the Prix de Flore party, my first steak was a hilariously nervous affair at Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, but the meaty experience which has really stood out, is what must be the world’s most super delicious hamburger, found at the Delaville Café! This hamburger is a mouth-watering invitation to hamburger heaven! A “must” I’m happy to say should be discovered tout de suite!! Mmmm..

Leading up to Christmas is always a fun time to go to charitable auctions in Paris! The combo of fashion designer/celebrity + charity always works wonders, and has the added advantage of making everyone feel good!
Tomorrow evening Dessine l’Espoir will be holding their vente aux enchères featuring 20 designers like Sonia Rykiel and Alber Elbaz, in an effort to raise awareness and support for their charitable actions throughout Africa. Fashion cares? Sold!
How many times have we moaned about needing a place on the left bank (aside from sandwich grecs! Eew!) to get a late-night bite to eat! With a fabulous nights-only formula, Le LUP is sure to attract all the hot Germainophiles.

Many apologies to all for the lack of posts this week! – it’s been a very crazy week and tomorrow I head to Italy for some welcomed R & R. My occupations since Sunday have been trying to finish all my work before I leave, organising travel logistics, making time to catch up with some friends, and planning my wardrobe for my trip as each evening will have a different themed dinner – this included finding a formal dress in white for the first evening, something I have actually managed to pull off! (even though it did include a rather desperate email to my favourite fashion designer yesterday!).
Last night I managed to join my friends Thibaut and Rebecca at the Hemingway Bar at the Ritz. This bar is a great place to go in Paris, especially at the beginning of the week, when most other places are dead. Not long after we arrived Sophia Coppola entered with her husband Thomas Mars. I’ve always wanted a Sophia sighting in Paris, so it was well-worth getting a little behind on my to-do list.
Anyway, Happy Hallowe’en to all and see you back daily on Monday!
Have I ever mentioned that I can hardly bare to drink anything but champagne? A ‘cosmo’, a ‘mojito’, ‘sex on the beach’ would literally turn my world upside down! But today I discovered that fashion designers Viktor & Rolf have taken the liberty to do that for Piper-Heidsieck’s Rosé Sauvage!! Look at how cool this set is: the champers, the ice bucket, and the flute are all in a reversed topsy-turvy limbo, which will no doubt float through the room or at least seem incredibly trippy after a few bottles! Retails exclusively at Colette.

This summer there was only one place I wanted to go on a Saturday night! My memories are of a secret idyllic party universe, where everyone is beautiful; the champagne never stops flowing; the music is fun, fun, fun; and even though you might have to sacrifice your favourite shoes, you wouldn’t blink an eye! Just as you would think, the Institut de Bonheur is true joy, true fun, true happiness!
Unfortunately, all good things must come to end, and this Saturday’s edition will be the last! I’ll cry when it’s over, but for the moment, I just want to dance! 🙂
PS – Tomorrow night le déguisement est obligatoire!

If being trapped in an office all day long has got you down, imagine lounging by the pool in St Tropez, or moored in your yacht off Costa Smeralda: you’ve just thrown off your Melissa Odabash Fru lace dress (www.net-a-porter.com/product/23290) and you’re wearing your new to-die-for Zimmerman & Tooshie halterneck bikini (www.net-a-porter.com/product/26477). Sven, your fitness trainer/summer fling has kindly offered to make drinks, but how could you possibly think of ruining that pretty picture by requesting a mojito or a caipirinha?! Just because it’s warm doesn’t mean you should stoop to join the masses! In such cases as this, your only possible chic recourse is to ask for a Piscine – a delightfully refreshing mix of champagne and ice. And just in time, Piper-Heidsieck have created their own special Piscine glasses to accompany their Cuvée Brut – comme c’est magnifique!
